A kinder, calmer school morning
Mornings go better when children know what comes next. A short, steady routine does more than reminders and raised voices.
Lay out clothes and bags the night before. Keep the order the same each day: wake up, eat, dress, shoes, door. A picture chart on the wall lets young children follow along without being told.
Leave ten extra minutes for goodbyes. A calm hug at drop-off sets the tone for the whole day, for your child and for you.
None of this needs to be perfect. If one morning falls apart, start the routine again tomorrow. Children learn from the pattern, not from a single day.
